As far a melt-ability and chocolatey-ness are concerned, you can't beat an Oreo as an accompaniment to that 11am cuppa. Now the game has been upped significantly with the launch of two new Oreo flavours: the Golden Oreo (a creamy vanilla biscuit not a million miles away from the custard cream) and (thrillingly), a limited edition Peanut Butter Oreo, complete with chocolate biscuit and peanut butter cream filling.

The new Oreo flavours go on sale in the UK this week, although there is no word on how long it will take for them to reach our shores. In the meantime I can highly recommend an alternative that has become a steadfast part of my treat repertoire. Take a classic Oreo. Add a dollop of peanut butter. Consume. Repeat.
