A woman is being hailed as a hero after saving a toddler who accidentally fell into the River Lee in Cork.
According to
The Irish Mirror, the 3-year-old boy was walking along with an adult when he let go of their hand, slipped and fell into the water below.
Thankfully a passer-by jumped in after the boy and kept him above the water. She also stayed with the child until the emergency services arrived.
Whilst neither is believed to have suffered any injuries in the incident, which happened at approximately 12.30pm today, the pair were taken to Cork University Hospital.
