We’ve seen plenty of baby photographs in our time but this one certainly stands out.
Australian photographer Emma Jean captured and shared this snap of newborn Harper along with his umbilical cord (which spells out the word 'love') and placenta on Facebook.
In the caption Emma explains that this is part of the Maori tradition which sees mothers burying their afterbirth at the family home.
The thinking behind this is that it helps to connect the new arrival with their roots. Check out the picture below.
