When we think of being in labour, we think of heavy breathing, lots of sweating and as many distractions as possible.
But when makeup artist Alaha Majid was in labour, she decided to give herself a bit of a makeover.
She shared the below snap of herself following the birth of her daughter, Sofia Alaya Karimi, last month.
She explained on her Instagram account that she decided to pull out her makeup bag “to take her mind off contractions.”
The picture has since gone viral with a lot of people saying that this will be them when they give birth.
Alongside the snap, Alaha wrote: “Now many of you are probably wondering about this picture, LOL! It was taken the minute she was first handed to me after I delivered her, look at her little head in my palm.
“Yes, I went full glam lol and I'll post more pics later of me doing my makeup DURING Labor and pausing for the severe contractions lol.”
The new mum followed through on this promise with more photographs from the hospital ward.
