Five times Ryan Reynolds’ quotes on parenting were hilariously relatable

“Being a father is the single greatest feeling on earth. Not including those wonderful years I spent without a child, of course”

Ryan Reynolds is well-known for his quick-witted humour both on and off the big screen, and his hilarious commentary on life as a parent is no different.

The Deadpool star has four kids with Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively; James, 8, Inez, 5, Betty, 3 and baby number four.

Although Ryan’s Twitter feed is now currently with football related content since his takeover of Wrexham United, it was once a beacon of parenting hilarity.

So, we decided to take a look back at some of his most iconic moments on TV and social media.

First up is a tweet from August 2015 when the actor described a moment most of us will encounter as parents at some point.

He wrote: “Nothing better than spending an entire morning staring into my baby daughter’s eyes, whispering, ‘I can’t do this’.”

Then, in September 2015, he revealed just how far he would go for his daughter…. Kind of?

“I’d walk through fire for my daughter. Well not FIRE, because it’s dangerous. But a super humid room. But not too humid, because my hair,” he wrote.

Reassuring any soon-to-be dads, the 46-year-old jokingly advised: “Being a father is the single greatest feeling on earth. Not including those wonderful years I spent without a child, of course.”

In 2017, it seemed that a few years of parenting really began to take its toll on Reynolds as he joked: “My kids tried to surprise me for my birthday this morning. I totally heard them coming and snuck out to start a new life somewhere else.”

Finally, we have all experienced the chaos of several kids at breakfast, lunch or dinner time – it’s hectic.

Well, apparently the Reynolds household is no different. The Hollywood actor hilariously admitted it’s like “a zoo” in their house during an interview in February 2023.

“It’s a zoo over here,” he said as he joined the reporter via video link.

”This is my office here. This is where I’ll probably — actually, to be honest, I’ll probably spend the rest of my life in here.”
