Ten celebrity baby names you will want to steal for your list

Celeb baby names

When it comes to giving their little ones names that tether on the verge of bizarre, nobody will beat the celebs.

Although some celebrity baby names never really catch on with us mere mortals, some are beginning to sound like actual runners for our future children.

When it comes to some names chosen by famous parents, they are actually both utterly gorgeous and even within the parameters of normality – meaning you can totally get away with robbing them.

In need of some inspiration? Here are some of our favourite celebrity baby names of all times:

1. Ava

Heather Locklear named her daughter Ava way back in 1997, and parents took note. Then Reese Witherspoon welcomed daughter Ava two years later, and it remains a Hollywood go-to, chosen by both Hugh Jackman and Jeremy Renner too.

2. Honor

Jessica Alba is one of our all-time favourite celeb mamas, and never sets foot wrong when it comes to her fashion and style choices. And as for the name she picked for her first-born (which also went on to inspire the name of her now multi-billion dollar company, Honest), we are in love.

3. Harper

Harper is a literary pick, influenced by author Harper Lee. But star power has lifted Harper from obscure to mainstream. Neil Patrick Harris has a Harper. So does the Beckhams, who welcomed their Harper Seven by citing Victoria’s love of To Kill a Mockingbird.

4. Mason

Kourtney Kardashian went with Mason when she welcomed her firstborn back in 2009, and since then, this trending boy name has topped the charts in the US, and also gone on to become popular on our shores as well. That Kardashian effect…

5. Otis

Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde named their son Otis Alexander in 2014 and made the once old-fashioned name soar back into the charts. And with O names like Owen and Oliver all the rage, Otis could be next, so watch this space.

6. Knox

The Jolie-Pitts are trendsetters in every way, also when it comes to baby names. Before they welcomed twins Knox and Vivienne in 2008, this name was pretty much unheard of, but has now been steadily rising in the charts ever since.

7. Everly

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan welcomed daughter Everly in 2013, and made the now popular name take off. We think it is all sorts of sweet, no?

8.  Briar

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen picked a fairytale name for daughter Briar Rose in October 2014, and we think this name is bound to catch on. We are swooning with the Disney-esque gorgeousness of it all.

9. Haven

Jessica Alba did it again with daughter #2. Swoon.

10. Bodhi

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green gave their firstborn son the mega-popular Noah. But when they welcomed boy #2 in back in 2014, they chose something the far more daring Bodhi. It’s unusual, no doubt, but we are actually fans. (And our money is totally on them choosing something equally amazing for baby #3!)
