Yes, it can be tempting when you name your baby to go for a really cool moniker that will make your tot totally unique in his (or her) class in school.
I mean; it just proves just how cool a mama you are, right? You are cementing your position as a hipster parent solely by calling your child something totally different to everyone else.
And don’t think I’m being judgy – I totally went down this route with my own too. It’s just that I sometimes wonder if they will love their own names when they are no longer cute little kids, but fully fledged adults typing up their CV’s or applying for college…
Me, still loving the names we (read: I) picked, hope they will, of course.
