A mum has been wondering if her potential baby name for her daughter is “too Twilighty” or if she’d get away with it.
The unknown mother aired her grievances on parenting forum Mumsnet, as she debated whether to call her unborn child Bella Esmée.
She wrote: “Bella Esmée for a baby girl? Last name is a bit long so didn’t want the first and middle names to be a tongue twister.”
While the name being a bit convoluted was a worry for the mum-to-be, she was also concerned that the name was far too much of a throwback to the Twilight franchise, where Bella and Edward name their daughter Renesmee in the series’ final instalment.
So yeah, you can see the issue.
While some people thought the name was nice and obviously not too connected to the vampire books and movies, other said it was indeed “too Twilighty.”
“Yes it is,” said someone named ‘snappedandfarted2019.’
“Never heard a more Twilighty name,” said someone else, but they included a smiley face so they might be alright with the name, who knows.
Others were fairly into it though.
“Is Bella Esmée the first name? Or first and middle? I love either name separately though!” wrote one person. “Too bad your last name isn’t Cullen.”
