Little baby Anger? Really?
When we think of Anglophone countries that come up with odd baby names, we usually think of the US.
Maybe it’s the fact that lots of American celebrities choose some fairly out-there names for their offspring – Apple Martin, Blue Ivy Carter and Reign Disick are just some of the examples that spring to mind – but we’d always associate bolder choices with our stateside cousins.
As it turns out, their neighbours across the border could give them a serious run for their money.
A new list of the most unusual baby names in Alberta, Canada for 2017 has been released and they’re fairly mad.
While there are a few options that we could get on board with (Angel and Sky aren’t too weird), there are some that we don’t reckon would take off in Ireland.
The more bizarre baby girl names on the list include Anger, Empress and Pepper, while on the boys’ list the stand-out ones are the likes of Cola, Nitorious-Shyne and Jedi.
