I mean; who doesn’t want their kids to have the best life…?
And yes, making sure they get a good education is no doubt important – but did you know you could start laying the groundwork for a life in luxury a lot earlier than making sure they do well in their Leaving Cert?
According to a new study by HushHush.com, where researchers analysed the Sunday Times Rich List, along with their customer data, it turns out the name you give your at birth can make a big difference in how much they will earn later in life.
For instance, when it came to top earner names for women, Elizabeth/Elisabeth was at the top of the list, with Jasmine, Ruth, Leonie and Sofia also making the top five.
For men, David was the #1 choice, with Alex, John/Jon, James and Mark following close behind.
“While we think tradition is very important, we also think that giving your baby a name that makes them statistically more likely to be successful is a kindness any child would wish for,” says Aaron Harpin, founder of HushHush.com.
“There are roughly 2,000 billionaires in the world, and while many of their names vary, there are also a few that share a first name.”
He adds:
“Of course there’ll still be a lot of work to do once your baby is born, but using one of these names is certainly a start!”
