The name of Pippa Middleton’s baby son has finally been revealed.

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews welcomed a baby son in October but his name was kept under wraps until now.

According to reports, the couple decided on Arthur as a name for their firstborn with the news circulating today.

According to The Mail on Sunday, his full name is thought to be Arthur Michael William Matthews.

Michael has special significance as James’s brother was aged 22 when he disappeared during a Mount Everest expedition.

Spencer Matthews and Vogue Williams also chose this as a middle name for their son Theodore who was born on September 5.

Michael is also the name of Pippa’s father and it’s clear that it’s a very special name in both families which is why many predicted they would choose it for the baby’s first name.

Arthur was born in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital on 15 October and the day after, a spokesperson for the proud new parents confirmed the news:

“James and Pippa have had a baby boy. He was born Monday 15th October at 1.58pm, weighing 8lb and 9oz. Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well.”

Pippa and James married in May 2017 in the village of Englefield, near Reading and their baby news became public knowledge in April.

This was around the same time that Pippa’s sister Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to her child, Prince Louis and with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex expecting their first child early next year, there is major baby fever at the moment.
