Baby names

These two baby names have gotten SO popular in America for an obvious reason

Makes sense.

Or does it?

Baby name trends are always changing.

One year, everyone’s calling the kid Mary and then suddenly religion isn’t that much of a big deal anymore and then there are no Marys left in the entire world.

Very upsetting times for all of the Catholics in the room, definitely.

This year though, there are two names that have become increasingly popular across America – and for a fairly obvious reason too.

Melania is one. And Ivanka is the other.

You can probably guess why.

Or, you can’t guess at all because the general consensus is that the Trump family are Not The Best People In The Entire World, but sure look, the stats say what the stats say.

According to the Area Vibes, Melania has seen a staggering 227 percent increase in popularity since 2015, with Ivanka becoming even more popular with 362 percent.

Madness.

Now, in fairness rates of babies being called Ivanka or Melania were actually quite low to begin with so the increase isn’t actually by that much.

Interestingly though, rates of Donald have actually dropped since 2015.

We can’t imagine why.
