Adele’s makeup artist just shared his genius concealer hack

If it's good enough for her...

If you’re not a just a teeny bit obsessed with your concealer, you’re lying.

It’s key for achieving a flawless finish to your base, but trying to make it stay put and keep it from building up in the creases under your eyes would break your heart.

That’s why we’re so eager to try this trick from makeup artist Michael Ashton.

He’s credited with Adele’s stunning makeup looks and has revealed that if you’re putting powder over your concealer, you’re doing it wrong.

He recommends using eyeshadow primer on the under-eye area before applying concealer instead.

“Dusting powder on top of concealer can cause creasing, prepping concealer with a primer first does not,” he told The Cut.

This does make sense, as eyeshadow primer is thicker and has more staying power than regular facial concealers.

Michael recommended using Marc Jacobs’ Coconut Eye Primer, but you could also try this hack out with something a little more budget-friendly first as the product is not available here in Ireland.

You can pick it up in Sephora in the US for $26.00 (around €22.00).
