This beauty blogger’s DIY €3 face mask will totally blow your mind

Trine Jensen-Burke

Having written about health and beauty for a number of years, believe me when I say I have tried (for reasons of research and vanity) a lot of homemade face masks that all promised to leave me with flawless, filter-like skin.

And trust me on this too: The vast majority did little else but leave me with a messy kitchen as I prepared the various concoctions.

But until I stumbled upon beauty blogger Farah Dhukai, I had never heard of this particular pantry staple also being an absolute miracle worker for your skin and hair.

Say hello to the Fenugreek seed facial – the kitchen ingredient that can turn dull, dry skin into a glowing beacon of health in a matter of moments.

Not convinced yet? You need to watch this Instagram video and judge for yourself.

Dhukai simply blends up softened fenugreek seeds before applying them to her face. During the quick video, she shows a close up of her skin, which has a few red spots and some sallowness. She then soaks a packet of fenugreek seeds in boiling water and leaves them over night. The next morning, she rinsing them through a sieve and places the water from the mix in a bottle and the softened the seeds in a Nutribullet.

After whizzing the seeds in the high-speed blender, she presses the mixture onto her face. Then sprays the left over fenugreek seed water in her hair. Because waste not. Want not.

After 15 minutes, she removes the fenugreek seed mask, and wait till you see what it has done to her skin. Seriously, does she not look like she has just applied highlighter all over her face?! Hello luminous.
