Absolutely fair play to her.

A model with Down’s syndrome has become the first to pose for Gucci Beauty.

18-year-old Ellie Goldstein will grace the pages of Italian Vogue later this month as part of a new campaign for Gucci’s latest beauty range.

The Instagram scouting partnership between Gucci Beauty and Italian Vogue sees Goldstein shot by  photographer David PD Hyde wearing Mascara L’Obscur.

Her photo shoot has already been liked by over 800,000 people on social media.

Mail Online reports that Goldstein signed to Zebedee Management, an agency that represents people with disabilities, three years ago.

The teenager, from Ilford, Essex, is currently studying performing arts and has featured in a number of high profile campaigns including Nike, Vodafone and Superdrug.

“I really enjoyed the modelling and loved wearing the Gucci dress,” said Ellie “I’m really proud of the photo shoot.”

Her mother, Yvonne, added: “We’re all incredible proud of Ellie and all the lovely comments she has had on Gucci’s Instagram.”

“Ellie is such a wonderful person inside and out,” Laura Johnson of Zebedee added.

“She lights up the room when she walks in and is such a professional. We really hope that all brands take note and including disabled models now becomes the norm.”

A massive congratulations to her.
