Bride-to-be? You’ll want to tell your makeup artist about this glow-giving face product

Bride-to-be?

If you’re a 2020 bride, you might be planning your make-up trial at the moment, thinking about what type of look you’d like to wear on the day – the celebration you and your significant other have been planning for quite some time.

Soft ‘no-makeup makeup’ is a popular bridal request, that elusive ‘lit-from-within’ glow.

Ideally, making you look like you’ve had the best night’s sleep of your life even if you didn’t get a wink of sleep thinking of the moment you say “I do”.

It’s generally one of the happiest days of your life, you won’t have to work hard to fake that glow but of course, there are a few key products that will maintain your face base for the entire day.

There’s one product I’m seeing and hearing a lot of recently and that’s Bobbi Brown’s Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm.

The Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm is priced at €56 with Bobbi Brown insiders describing it as one of their key products for the season ahead.

Chatting to Warren Dowdall, an Irish pro-artist for Bobbi Brown who is based in London, he say it’s a perfect fit for a bridal base as there’s no flashback in photos – this is key.

“Illuminating Moisture Balm is perfect for luminous, radiant skin with no flashback. It contains red, gold and green pearls that flatter all skin tones and minimise the looks of imperfections.

Wear alone as a moisturiser to instantly energise a tired complexion, mix with your foundation to add a dewy sheen to a more matte formula or spot apply to the high points of your face for a lit-from-within glow. At New York Fashion Week, it was our go-to for legs, arms and décolleté too. Definitely a bridal beauty must- have”.

Pro-artists Zara Findlay and Amy Conway say it’s the most versatile of all the glow products with the “crushed pearl particles” imparting that instant glow we’re all after.

As for how to wear it, they advise:

“Use underneath your makeup for a hydrated glow, or mix in with your foundation for a sheer all-over glow. Also perfect for those ‘no makeup days’ by itself!”.

Chatting on her Instagram page, Zara also describes it as “the most versatile glow”, sharing a number of different ways you can use it.

Probably the one we’re most intrigued by is the fact that you can transform a powder highlighter by mixing it in – “turn any highlighting powder into a cream by scraping a little into your hands and adding a small pump of Moisture Balm”.

I’m a major fan of multitasking products and this one is well on the way to becoming a cult beauty buy for the ages – if you’re a bride-to-be, get it on your radar asap.
