So here’s the reason behind breakouts on each part of your face

Because it happens to us all.

Ever wonder why all of a sudden you get a massive breakout on your chin or forehead?

Well, there is actually a reason behind this breakout and often quite preventable.

Caroline Frazer, Simple Skincare Expert and celebrity makeup artist spoke with Cosmopolitan, giving them an insight into just exactly why these breakouts occur in each specific region.

“Like reflexology, areas of the face can help give us information about what’s going on in the body” she stated.

So here’s the reason behind each breakout point.

Forehead

Caroline says: “These spots can indicate an over-consumption of red meat, saturated fats and alcohol” so watching your diet more, cutting down on alcohol, eating green veg and drinking plenty of water is important.

Forehead spots can also be due to oily hair and styling products, so being aware of what you put in your hair is also important for your skin.

Cheeks

“Spots on the cheeks might be the result of too much meat, sugar and dairy products”, Caroline says. According to the expert, cutting down on high intakes of these food groups can tremendously improve your skin.

Jaw

Caroline states: “Spots on the jawline can indicate congestion in the large intestine, often caused by heavily processed foods.” Heavily processed foods can be anything from biscuits to pre-made meals and cooking food from scratch and eilminating microwavable foods can help clear up these pesky spots.

Chin

Ah spots from Mother Nature.

Yep, according to Caroline these spots are mainly to do with hormones and keeping a good facial and overall hygiene routine is the key here to keeping these ones at bay.

Got it!
