Lush has just launched a koala shaped soap to raise money for the Australian bush fires

Rebecca O'Keeffe

Brilliant idea.

As we are all aware, bush fires have been devastating Australia, and its wildlife.

Hundreds of millions of animals have been lost in the fires, and many businesses are doing what the can to help.

The gorgeous folks at Lush have created the Bush Animal Fund, which proceeds from the sale of a limited edition All The Wild Things soap will be put towards.

Many Lush Countries across the world will be taking part in selling 50,000 of these soaps, including shops and online in Australia and New Zealand from next week.

All The Wild Things is the brand’s best-selling soap Outback Mate, in a limited edition koala shape and is scented with cleansing peppermint, refreshing eucalyptus oils and rousing lemongrass.

Speaking about the new soap launch, Lush said:

“We can only imagine the horror faced out in the Australian bush by those who are going out searching for animal survivors amongst the estimated billion creatures killed so far in the fires. In recognition of the overwhelming task faced by this informal Animal’s Emergency Service, we have made All The Wild Things soap.”

“Net proceeds from this limited edition eucalyptus and lemongrass soap will go to animal rescue groups providing emergency first aid and rehabilitation as well as restoring the habitat where the wild things were. Grab one now online or visit your local Lush shop. Let the wild recovery start.”

Amazingly, the soap, which retails for €5, is already sold out online (hurrah!)

We’re hoping they bring out more!
