If there’s ever a sign that change is afoot, it’s when a woman switches up her hair.
Meghan Markle has debuted some fresh new layers this week – and some reckon it’s got to do with the transformation happening in her life.
The duchess first showed off the new look at the World War One commemorations over the weekend.
“It looks like Meghan really has had a subtle haircut recently with more fine layers around her face,” celebrity hairdresser James Johnson told Femail.
“I think the reason Meghan has cut layers into her hair is because she’s pregnant.
“Your hair cycle stops when you’re pregnant which means the hair you would usually lose on a daily basis doesn’t shed until you give birth – when you lose it all in one go.”
It means her hair won’t look as thick throughout her pregnancy and will make her hair loss less noticeable after she has her baby – pretty clever.
The layered look contrasts with the thicker, longer style that we saw on Meghan earlier this year.
She could well follow Kate Middleton’s lead and go for a shoulder-length style once he gives birth.
