People are getting their ultrasound scans painted onto their nails

Interesting, alright.

What’s the first thing you did when you got a copy of your ultrasound scan?

Did you stick a photo of it up on Facebook? Did you pin it up on the fridge? Or did you send it to your nail artist and ask them to paint it onto your nails because seeing your baby foetus on your forefinger is definitely what you want for the next 4-6 weeks of your life?

While that last option may seem ever so slightly bizarre, it turns out that it is an actual thing that people have been doing.

Certainly creative, anyway.

The ultrasound nails are the product of the very talented folk over at Serenity Hair and Beauty salon in the UK.

The nails were shared online by nail technician Sarah Clarke and they quickly amassed over 2,000 likes on Facebook.

We’re not surprised either – this is, if not a tad strange – incredibly impressive work.

Sarah then took to the salon’s Facebook page to say that she now had an “unbelievable demand” for the baby scan nails, and that she was booked up for two weeks.

Fair play, like.

She also added that the nail will be sent in a presentation box so people can keep it as a keepsake afterwards.

Lovely.
