The household staple to remove product build-up from your hair

It has SO many benefits.

Cathy Donohue

It’s probably sitting in your kitchen press.

There are so many beauty products on the market that it’s impossible to decide what you actually need for silky, shiny locks.

The good news is that some of the food condiments in your kitchen can work wonders at restoring your barnet to its former glory.

We’ve heard of olive oil and its moisturising properties but apple cider vinegar is another must-have when it comes to hair care.

It has a LOT of benefits for your tresses, one of which is scalp cleansing. This strengthens your locks, promotes hair growth, removes product build-up and helps gets rid of pesky dandruff.

Although some products contain too much alkaline which can upset the PH balance of your hair, apple cider vinegar is pretty unique in that it keeps the hair at an optimal PH level.

It’s also great for closing the hair cuticles, sealing split ends and adding shine.

That’s a pretty impressive range of benefits for an item that’s very likely to be sitting at the back of your kitchen press!

If you’re planning on giving this a go, make sure you mix it with water to dilute it…think one cup of water with two to four tablespoons of vinegar.
