This super simple DIY hair mask will give you shiny, strong hair

It’s common knowledge a woman’s hair is her pride. And that is all well and good until you have a baby (or worse, plural!), and pretty much never will have the time – or money – to get your tresses done again.

And family life is not your hair’s only enemy, of course, especially this time of year. Sun, salt water and swimming pool chlorine are absolute culprits for making your tresses look limp – and our undying love of hot styling tools is not helping either.

Hair, as we know, is mostly made up from protein, so if your locks are looking a little unloved of late, why not treat them to a little TLC with this home-made protein mask? This little gem packs a punch when it comes to strengthening your strands and giving your summer hair back its mojo – and best of all; you’ll find everything you need in your very own kitchen!

Get out:
2 eggs
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup olive oil

What to do:
1. Beat the eggs until they become frothy and add the olive oil.
2. Whisk until it’s blended and add yogurt, mixing until  the consistency is creamy. Then add honey.
3. Comb out any knots and tangles in your (damp) hair, and spread the mixture from your roots to your ends, combing it through.
4. Wrap your hair in a warm towel for 20-30 minutes before your rinse it out and shampoo.
