Heidi Klum reveals her legs were insured for $2 million

Laura Grainger

“It’s weird the things that some people do.”

Heidi Klum is renowned in the modelling industry and wider world for her long legs – but they once played a much more crucial role in her success than most of us were aware.

Appearing as a guest on Ellen this week, the fashion icon played a fill-in-the-blank game during which the fact that her legs had their own million-dollar insurance policy was brought up.

A sentence appeared on the studio stage screen that read: “My legs were insured for $2 million… another body part that should also be insured is my [blank].”

The former Victoria’s Secret Angel confirmed the bizarre claim to be true, but said it was a client who took out the insurance policy on her legs – not herself.

“It’s weird the things that some people do,” Heidi said.

No kidding, hun. Someone literally deemed your legs more valuable than most people’s house.

She also shared that one of her legs is actually worth more than the other due to a scar she got when she was younger.

“When I was young, I fell into a glass and I have, like, a big scar,” she explained to Ellen.

“Obviously I put so much spray tan on you can’t see it right now, but yeah, one was more expensive than the other one.”

Heidi has previously spoken about her legs being insured. She told People in 2017 that one was insured for $1.2 million while the other was insured for $1 million due to her “big old scar”.

“I always enjoyed, and I still do, wearing super short miniskirts showing off my legs,” she said at the time. “I think legs are sexy. I do like to put a focus on my legs when I go out or when I get onto the red carpet. I do.”

Well, you know what they say: if you’ve got it, flaunt it. Or insure it, apparently.
