Jen talked about how harmful the press’ speculation has been.

Justin Theroux has responded to Jennifer Aniston’s recent interview in Allure, in which she discusses her experience with IVF.

The Friends actress has been praised for sharing how difficult she found the process while dealing with the press’ narrative that suggested she prioritised her career over her family.

She told the magazine: “I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road. All the years and years and years of speculation… It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it.”

She added: “I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.”

Jennifer then went on to say that she now feels a sense of relief in the path she has since taken.

“I have zero regrets. I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore.”

She also discussed how there was hurtful speculation that her marriage to Justin Theroux ended because she didn’t want to have children, which she said was “absolute lies”.

Justin has since backed Jennifer, as he demonstrated his support on Instagram. Jen posted photos from the Allure photoshoot on her grid, and Justin left some supportive emojis.

The pair first got together in 2011, and the next year, they bought a home in Bel Air and announced their engagement. They tied the knot in August 2015, before separating towards the end of 2017.
