Love is in the air.

Love Island alum Matthew MacNabb and pro dancer Laura Nolan confirmed they’re more than just dance partners after the pair were sent home from RTE’s Dancing With the Stars Sunday night.

The Co Down Islander gave his partner a kiss as the pair were voted out of the show’s semi-final following a dance-off with fellow contestant Erica Cody and her partner Denys Samson.

Matthew and Laura were sent home by judges Loraine Barry, Brian Redmond and Arthur Gourounlian after scoring 21 points for their samba and just one point in the Bust A Move marathon, during which the couples had to dance for over three minutes.

The reality star confirmed speculation he’s dating the Dublin dancer by giving her a kiss on air, and Laura later told James Patrice of their “certified” romance.

When asked by the journalist if there was a kiss caught on camera between them, the couple said “yes” at the same time.

“So is this a certified dancing romance?” James then asked, and Laura said “yeah” as Matthew spun her away.

After being voted out, the Islander said his journey has been “an absolute rollercoaster”.

“It’s been amazing. I’ve grown as a person, I’ve grown and I feel like a completely different person at the end of this. Thank you so much to everybody for this opportunity,” he said.

Laura added that their journey “has been incredible from start to finish” and praised Matthew as “someone who never performed, never danced before” for his hard work. She also thanked the judges for their criticism.

Sunday’s finale will see Erica, Jordan Conroy, Nina Carberry and Ellen Keane battle it out for the glitter ball trophy after three months of competing.
