“I wasn’t given that choice.”

Nicole Kidman has revealed she would have had more children if she was given the opportunity.

In an interview for Marie Claire Australia’s 25th birthday Issue, the Academy Award-winner revealed that not having more kids was her one regret over the past five years.

“I wish I’d had more children, but I wasn’t given that choice,” she said. “I would’ve loved 10 kids.”

Nicole, who has previously spoken about suffering from fertility issues and miscarriages, added that it’s ultimately okay because she gets to “mother other children.”

“I have six nieces and nephew and I’m godmother to 12. I love mothering, I love kids: they’re quirky, funny and unfiltered. And then you get to see them grow and send them on their way.”

The actress has four children, two of whom are adults. She shares Bella, 28 and Connor, 26 with ex-husband Tom Cruise, while Sunday Rose, 13, and Faith Margaret, 10, are from her current marriage to Keith Urban.

The actress has previously spoken about the couple’s wishes that they could have met at a younger age and had more kids, but that they’re both grateful for the family they do have.

Speaking to People in 2019, she said: “We go, ‘Oh, gosh, I wonder if we met when we were 25, then we could’ve had 10 of them!

“Keith says, ‘Stop the wanting mind.’ It’s far better to be completely in love and satiated with what you’ve been given, what we’ve been given.”
