“This is my first baby.”
Dad-to-be Sam Asghari has spoken about his predictions of how he’ll navigate parenthood with fiancé Britney Spears – including whether or not the pair will find out their baby’s sex prior to the birth.
During an appearance on Access Hollywood, the 28-year-old actor said he’d rather embrace the element of surprise when it comes to his baby on the way.
When asked if he and Britney would be finding out their child’s sex during the pregnancy, he said: “That’s up to her, but I don’t want to. It’s something that I want to wait for.”
Regardless of the baby’s gender, Sam said he “absolutely” plans on being “hands-on as much as possible”.
“This is my first baby,” he said of his excitement. “If it’s a daughter, it’s going to be the most spoiled princess ever.
“If it’s a son, it’s gonna be the toughest son. I’m gonna be tough on the kid.”
Britney shared the news of her pregnancy earlier this month in an Instagram post, with Sam later taking to his own account to celebrate.
“Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect,” he wrote. “Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do.”
