The twins who played Emma on Friends are 18 now

Well this has us feeling old.

Ahead of the highly anticipated Friends reunion, fans have been reflecting on how different the show’s actors look today.

While we may obsess over the main characters’ lives and career moves, no cast member has changed quite as much as Noelle and Cali Sheldon, the twin actresses who played Rachel’s baby daughter Emma.

Noelle and Cali – who are 18 now, by the way, – appeared on the hugely popular sitcom in 2003 and 2004. They were just one year old at the time.

The girls were not allowed to watch the show until they turned 13, but they’ve since acknowledged the part they played in such a huge cultural phenomenon.

Last year, for instance, Noelle quoted a classic Chandler line in an Instagram post.

“Just woke up from the best nap of all time, happy 2020!” she wrote.

The caption referred to Chandler’s quip from The One With The Cake, where Emma’s long nap prevents her guests from leaving her first birthday party.

Ross asks his friends to record a message for Emma to watch on her 18th birthday.

Chandler says, “Hi Emma. It’s the year 2020. Are you still enjoying your nap?”

The twins have also posed next their on screen Mum’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“We found the coolest star!” they wrote in their caption.

On top of that, the Cali and Noelle have posted numerous behind the scenes photos from their time of the show.

Last week, the trailer dropped for the highly-anticipated Friends reunion episode, which will be available on HBO Max from 27 May.

The special, which is fittingly called The One Where They Get Back Together, will see the reunion of Matthew Perry (Chandler), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel) Courteney Cox (Monica), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey) and David Schwimmer (Ross).
