WATCH: Kim Kardashian might actually be a more relatable mother than we thought

Apparently being rich and famous doesn’t grant immunity from certain parts of motherhood

There isn’t a whole lot many of us have in common with Kim Kardashian.

We don’t have an extensive career in reality TV, a shape wear line, a beauty brand or a billion in the bank.

Even when it comes to parenthood, celebrities aren’t exactly renowned for going through the same struggles as the rest of us. Most of them have nannies, housekeepers and other staff to assist with the day-to-day runnings of their household and families.

That might all ring true for Kim K, but there’s one thing she’s in the same boat as us on: a kid who drops her in it.

How many times has your child aired your dirty laundry, or exposed the truth behind an excuse or white lie?

Children are often so vocally honest it’s like they’ve taken a truth serum. While it’s probably our fault for always emphasising the importance of honesty to them, the timing of when they decide to hold us to the same standard usually couldn’t be worse.

And when your eldest child is also the child of Kanye West, it’s safe to assume they’ll call you out fairly regularly.

So was the case when Kim took to Instagram to share a PR package for the release of Olivia Rodrigo’s debut album, Sour. The 18-year-old Disney star’s highly-anticipated album was released last week following the success of her hit single ‘Driver’s License’ earlier this year.

“How cute is Olivia Rodrigo, you guys,” Kim said, showcasing the PR package on her Instagram Story.

“I can’t wait for her album–” emmm, Kim hun, it’s already been released – “You guys know I love ‘Driver’s License.'”

“You never listen to it,” North, 7, said pointedly off-camera.

“Yes I do, I listen to it all the time,” replied Kim, before looking to 5-year-old son Saint to back her up. “Stop, North. Saint, don’t we listen to it in the car all the time? Yes. Can you say that louder for the people to hear? Do I listen to it all the time, Saint?”

Though Saint backed her up with a “yeah,” perhaps the lady doth protest too much. She did, after all, expose herself for not even knowing the album was already out and available to listen to.
