Planning a family holiday in 2017?

You’ve got the brochures, researched the hotels, booked the flights, now all that is left to do is pack.

Packing for a family holiday can be a little bit stressful. Instead of just worrying about what you might need, you also have to think about the little ones too.

Here is a handy list of a few things that you might be forgetting.

Photocopies

Always, always, always bring photocopies of all your important travel information including your passports. It might seem a little bit overly cautious but it is better to be safe than sorry. Keep them tucked away in a safe pocket in your handbag or your suitcase away from the originals.

Backpack

This will be an absolute lifesaver when you’re sightseeing or spending the day at the beach. Having a trusty backpack that you can throw everything into will save you so much time and effort.

First aid kit

Bring a small first aid kit with things like painkillers, plasters, sterile water and burn cream. You never know when you might need it.

Some favourite toys

You don’t have to bring a lot but making sure your little one has their favourite blanket or teddy bear with them could make your trip so much easier.

Sun cream and aftersun

Even if you are just going on holidays in Ireland it is always important to bring along sun cream just in case. The last thing you want to have to deal with is sunburn.

Chargers and adapters

For all your phones, cameras and iPads. Make sure you check what the plug sockets are like in the country that you are going to so you bring the correct ones.

EHIC card

If you’re travelling in Europe make sure you bring your European Health Insurance Card with you when you go on holiday. The card ensures that you will get emergency healthcare for free or at a reduced rate.

Disinfectant hand gel

You’ll be surprised at how often it can come in handy.
