These Dublin playgrounds are worth a visit.
Easter break is here and we’re leaving the house at any given opportunity.
We’ve been to the cinema, and the swimming pool and visited the grandparents multiple times, but the kids are already ‘bored’.
Luckily, we’ve gathered a list of the best Dublin playgrounds that you need to visit. We plan on visiting at least five of them over the Easter holidays, once the rain stays away, of course.
What Dublin playgrounds do you recommend?
1. Marlay Park Playground
Vast, and with something to do for almost all ages, from toddlers to tweens, you can’t go wrong with the playground in Marlay Park.
2. Cabinteely Park
There is something for everyone in Cabinteely Park. You won’t hear the kids say they’re bored once during a visit to the Dublin spot. It has everything from climbing frames to slides and even a giant sand pit.
3. Bushy Park Playground
One of the most popular, and busiest, playgrounds on the southside. Bushy Park playground is full of swings, slides, and interactive games. You can also have a lovely stroll around the park if the kids aren’t too tired.
4. Malahide Castle Playground
This huge playground will be a big hit with the kids. Why not pack a picnic for your visit and make a day of it? The grounds of the castle are perfect for it.
5. Fairview Park Playground
The playground was refurbished last year so you have to add it to your list. The Fairview playground has everything including a trampoline, zip line, and a sand pit too. There’s also a skate park nearby for older children.
6. St. Anne’s Park Playground
This spot is full of colourful equipment the kids are bound to love. They’ll have so much fun playing here that they won’t want to leave.
7. Ardgillan Castle Playground
This playground is such a find, and one the kids will forever beg you to go back to once you’ve been. There is a vast variety of climbs and swings and slides and is also great if you happen to also have a baby in tow, as there is lots of seating around the grounds, as well as toilets and a baby-changing station. Even better? The views out over the sea are second to none.
8. Belgrave Square Playground, Rathmines
A very popular playground with locals, this little gem is such a nice find if you happen to be in the area. One thing parents love about this playground is the fencing around it. It’s a secure and safe playground you just have to visit this midterm.
