Free family fun and lots of food at Waterford Harvest Festival this week

School may be back but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still lots of fun to be had.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend to start autumn off with a bang then you can’t do any better than the Waterford Harvest Festival.

The festival will showcase its gourmet status at the annual festival, with free cooking demonstrations, markets and workshops for all the family.

Taking place from September 6 to 8 the Waterford Harvest Festival has a host of free events including a concert from Paddy Casey.

The LiveWell Day which takes place on Friday offers young children the chance to experience yoga, pilates, massages and dance workshops.

While on Sunday they can take part in a free chocolate biscuit cake-making workshop takes place at Carter’s Chocolate Café.

Speaking about the Waterford Harvest Festival the Festival Director, Tommie Ryan said:

“We are delighted to kick off another exciting Harvest Festival this weekend. Waterford has just been announced the winner of Foodie Destinations 2019 because of its sense of local awareness, pride and passion for food tourism… and Harvest epitomises just that. This weekend is for all the family to enjoy, with over 70 free and ticketed events.”

As well as great workshops for the kids there will also be food from all over the world for the grown-ups to try so its the perfect weekend or day out for any foodies.
