Mum shares angry post over contents of big LOL Surprise ball

It's one of the top toys for Christmas 2017.

Quite a surprise indeed.

Last month we learned that the LOL Surprise Big Surprise is set to be one of the most in-demand toys this Christmas.

The toy, a plastic ball with mystery toys inside, is a limited edition super-sized version of the regular LOL Surprise ball that was released earlier this year.

The original version was a hit, selling out at Tesco stores in the UK in just one day. The giant version has launched in time for Christmas, retailing at €72.99.

It contains 50 toys and promises “the ultimate unboxing experience”.

It’s already sold out in Smyths and Argos in Ireland but one UK mum who managed to get her hands on it has revealed she was more than a little disappointed with it.

Taking to Facebook, Ciara Umar from Stockton-on-Tees shared images of what her daughter got in her LOL Surprise Big Surprise ball and wrote that she wouldn’t recommend it to others “if you don’t want to waste your money”.

Ciara’s post has been shared over 7,000 times since it was posted last Friday, with many echoing the mum’s shock at the quality of the contents.

Some, however, pointed out that the bath bombs (in the orange bucket) also contain toys.

“I was mortified when I saw the contents,” Ciara told the Manchester Evening News.

“Don’t get me wrong, she was over the moon opening them and had five baths with the bath bombs, but then just went back to her iPad. The novelty wore off within 15 minutes.

“She got what was in the picture then there was five more surprises in the bath bombs. It’s an absolute waste of money, it’s not even a full ball either, it’s only half a ball as the back is flat.”
