We’re can’t wait for this.

Reality TV shows have long been searching for the best robotmakers, chefs, architects and dressmakers – and now they’re moving on to a new show that, let’s be honest, is the one we’ve all really been waiting for.

Channel 4 announced their plans for their new show LEGO MASTERS this week.

LEGO fans from Ireland and the UK will be showing off their creativity, construction skills and imagination as they battle it out to “be crowned masters of the brick”.

But the series, which debuts on Channel 4 in two weeks time, isn’t just for kids.

The contestants in the four part series range from a pair of nine year old best friends to adults in their forties.

The eight pairs of amateurs will battle it out against each other in a “wide array of disciplines from the playful to the technical to the unexpected”.

By the end of the series, one pair will be named the real LEGO Masters.

The series will be fronted by radio DJ and TV presenter Melvin Odoom, while Vice President of Design for the LEGO group Matthew Ashton will lead the judges.

He will be joined by a different number of expert judges each round, from the fields of engineering, art and design – and even some guest celebrity judges, including Richard Osman, Bill Bailey and Dara O’Briain.

Executive Producer Steph Harris said:

“This playful new format demonstrates that LEGO bricks are more than just a toy – or something to step on – and will appeal to the child in all of us, showcasing spectacular builds and inspire the next generation of artists, engineers, architects and builders.”

LEGO MASTERS begins Thursday August 24, 8pm on Channel 4.
