Tayto Park releases information on another scam doing the rounds

Olivia Hayes

Be careful with this.

Only two weeks ago, Tayto Park warned families across Ireland to be aware of a scam offering free family tickets to the theme park.

There was a link doing the rounds on social media platforms that claims the Meath theme park was offering five free passes to 500 families.

Users on Facebook and WhatsApp were asked to give away their personal information in a bid to win the fake tickets.

Tayto Park made a statement to clarify that the message was not sent by them, however now it has had to issue a fresh statement on yet another scam and there are no competitions being held at the moment.

Over the weekend, it said on its social media channels: “‘SCAM ALERT’ Hi guys, we would like to advise that there is a link being sent around stating that we are giving away 5 free tickets to Tayto Park.

“Unfortunately, this is not correct, the website is not ours and we would advise everyone to IGNORE this link!”

Just goes to show you can never be too careful about what you click into online.
