Fun runs and free entertainment.

Cherrywood is celebrating the completion of its new park this September with an amazing family fun day.

Members of the community will have a chance to take part in a 5k fun run as well as a treasure hunt.

The fun run will help to raise money for the National Rehabilitation Hospital, so you can have fun while you raise funds.

The fun day is planned for Sunday, September 16, to mark the completion of 82 acres of parkland and other recreational amenities as part of the first phase of development at Cherrywood in South County Dublin.

The recreational amenities include three parks, multi-use playing pitches, a kid’s play area, new roadways, cycle paths and greenways, as well as 3,000 planted trees that are in place ahead of the arrival of future Cherrywood residents.

The completed Cherrywood Parks, recreational and environmental amenities will eventually serve an expected population of 25,000 residents, who will live in the 8,000 homes to be constructed.

The fun run will start at 12 noon from the new 22-acre flagship Tully Park in Cherrywood.

On the day there will also be free entertainment for kids with a treasure hunt, bouncy castles, a family picnic area, ice cream van, face painting, candyfloss and much more.

The Family Fun Area will be open from 11 am to 3 pm at Tully Park.

If that’s not enough free parking will be provided for all visitors at Cherrywood business park, where shuttle buses will ferry attendees to and from the Fun Day at Tully Park. Amazing!
