Melissa Carton

Father’s Day is only a month away.

With Father’s Day just around the corner we’re all on the lookout for a great gift for our children to give to their dads.

With story time being a favourite activity for children to do with their parent, what better gift than a book?

Below is a selection of three gorgeous books that would make any dad’s or grandfather’s Father’s Day complete.

For Dads

I Love My Daddy by Giles Andreae, illustrated by Emma Dodd

Playing, cooking, singing, snuggling . Spend special time with Dad in this joyful, rhyming picture book, brimming with love, silliness and even pages to personalise! With a gentle, rhyming story and bold, bright illustrations, this is the perfect celebration of the special relationship between father and child – perfect for sharing on Father’s Day and all year round!

For expectant or new Dads

Your Baby’s First Word Will Be Dada by Jimmy Fallon, illustrated by Miguel Ordonez

A really great one for new or soon-to-be dadas and something that is oh so true.

Your baby’s first word will be . . .”Dada!”

Right?

Everyone knows that fathers wage a secret campaign to ensure that their babies’ first word is “Dada!” But how does it work?

For Grandfathers

I Love My Grandad by Giles Andreae, illustrated by Emma Dodd

Given that most children can’t see their grandparents at the moment, it’s especially important to send grandfathers a little gift to say that you’re thinking of them.

This delightful picture book captures the joy of spending a fun-filled day with Grandad. With a gentle, rhyming story and lovely illustrations,  this is the perfect present for every family. Whether for new Grandparents, on Father’s Day or at any time of the year.
