Tennis star Andy Murray and his wife Kim have welcomed their second child together.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2015, are said to have welcomed another daughter a few days ago.

Andy’s grandmother Shirley Erskine told the Heart Scotland News that the family were “delighted” over the news.

She added:

“We’re absolutely delighted. Another little girl, a little sister for Sophia so hopefully that’ll be great for her too.

“She’ll have a little playmate.”

She confirmed that Kim and the baby were both doing well following the parents’ new arrival.

She added that she didn’t know the child’s name yet, but would be visiting the proud parents this weekend.

The news emerged under 24 hours after the dad-of-two attended a charity tennis event in Glasgow’s SSE Hydro.

The match, which he played against Roger Federer, was the first time he had played in public since he suffered a hip injury at Wimbledon.

The couple of two years, who are already parents to little Sophia, confirmed earlier this year that they were expecting their second child.

He has previously said that he puts his family first before tennis saying:

“My child is more important to me and my wife is more important to me than a tennis match.

It’s a big change for me and my wife, but that’s the current priority.”
