“Eating cake for breakfast because anything goes on your birthday.”

It’s true that anything goes on your birthday, especially when it’s cake for breakfast. Lockdown birthdays aren’t that bad really when you get to work from home and stuff your face with treats all day long.

Eminems adopted daughter Alaina has just celebrated her birthday. Alaina, who turned 28 this week, captioned the pic: “Eating cake for breakfast because anything goes on your birthday.”

Alaina Marie lives in Detroit, Michigan and is a “mental health advocate” – and is actually Eminem’s niece. The rapper adopted Alaina when she was younger, as she is ex-wife Kim Scott’s sister Dawn’s daughter.

Eminem’s daughter Hailie grew up with Alaina too. He mentions his adopted daughter ‘Laney’ in his 2004 hit Mockingbird, which was dedicated to both his girls.

The songs lyrics read “Laney, uncle’s crazy ain’t he, yeah but he loves you girl and you better know it”, and also says: “Daddy’s still here, Laney I’m talking to you too, Daddy’s still here. I like the sound of that, yeah, it’s got a ring to it, don’t it?”

The rapper spoke about his relationship with ‘Laney’ in 2004, saying “my niece has been a part of my life ever since she was born. Me and Kim pretty much had her, she’d live with us wherever we was at.”

Alaina lives close to her adopted dad in Detroit and is in a happy relationship with Matt Moeller. She posted a sweet pic of her and Matt on Valentine’s Day with the caption: “15 years I’ve been crushing on you. So happy to call you mine! Happy Valentine’s day babe.”

Eminem’s other daughter Hailie turned 25 back in December. She posted a picture celebrating on Christmas Day with the caption: “25 on the 25th even though this isn’t the “golden” birthday I originally would’ve planned, I know I will still make 25 my year regardless.

“I feel so blessed & lucky to be here and at this place in my life. Merry Christmas & happy holidays everyone!”
