Stacey Solomon tells us her coping mechanisms for being a busy mum

Olivia Hayes

Stacey Solomon is a busy mum.

She’s always on the go and only takes time out every now and again to chill out and take it all in.

She recently launched a new collection with Penneys (which we absolutely adore), but we want to know more about how she keeps it all going.

Let’s be honest, we all find the balance hard from time to time – and Stacey does too. However, she has a few tips and tricks for when it all gets too much, and we can certainly all take in a thing or two.

For when times get tough, Stacey says to “accept it, and don’t fight it.

“If things get too much I try to keep my feelings at bay by knowing they won’t be there forever, and it’ll all get better in a little while.”

And when it comes to anxiety, she said: “I used to always try to get rid of it but that did nothing and sometimes made it worse.”

She adds though, that it’s normal to feel stressed out or anxious if you have work and family to juggle.

“It’s not necessarily a bad thing [to feel this way],” she explains, “so when I think like that it’s more manageable to me.”

Life can be testing from time to time – especially with kids – but it’s important to take time for yourself, don’t fight the negative feelings and speak to someone if it gets too much.
