“You had the biggest heart I have ever known.”

X Factor star George Shelley has revealed that his late sister’s organs have saved another life.

The former Union J singer’s sister Harriet died aged 21 after a horrific car accident in April.

Now George has told how her heart was transplanted into a patient whose own was failing.

It brings to six the number of people who have received organ donations from the midwife after her tragic passing.

George – who posted a picture with Harriet and brother Will on Instagram – said:

“Every three minutes someone dies from heart or circulatory disease in the UK.

“My baby sister may not be with us in her Earth bound form anymore, but her heart still beats on, giving life to someone else who’s heart was failing.

“What an honour. You had the biggest heart I have ever known. We love you miss you, always. #HeartForHeart.”

Tragic Harriet died after spending a week in intensive care after being hit by a car after leaving a Stormzy gig.

Previously George said that Harriet’s passing made him rethink what was important in life.

He told The Sun:

“I’ve had the s***iest year of my life but I’ve just got to try and get on with things.

“The love and support has been overflowing and it helps. My lovely boyfriend has been great and supportive.”

He added:

“I guess you just have to try and get on with life. It’s really hard to say it… I have to do what my sister would have done.

“She would have just got on with stuff.”
