Here’s how many parents regret the age they had their first child at

It’s a lot.

If you marry someone, chances are you think they’re alright.

Maybe you even think they’re more than alright – maybe you think they’re unreal and perfect and the only person you want to spend the rest of your life with which is the only reason why you should marry somebody anyway, tbh.

The same, unfortunately, cannot be said for having children.

Many people say there’s never a right time to start trying, while others are sure that once you have a child, you’ll never ever regret that decision for as long as you live.

However, for some, they do.

Studies compiled by Body Logic MD showed that 20 percent of people aged between 23 and 39 regret the age (the average age being 20) they had their first child at.

These people are, according to the study, currently going through quarter life crises, but almost 13 percent of those who said that they never went through a crises of that sort admitted that they made the wrong decision too.

The same goes for marriages with 30 percent of people have said that they feel like they “settled” for their spouse.

The study found that almost one third of married people (between the ages of 23 and 39) who are currently going through a quarter-life crisis are worried that they settled for their other half.

And alright, yeah, that excludes all those lucky people who aren’t going through a quarter life crisis but honestly, very few of those people exist anyway so whatever.

Despite this grim enough number, younger people are actually waiting longer to get married these days in the hope that they won’t make a wrong decision.

So at least there’s that.
