SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA - 2002/06/01: Students practice traditional shadow puppetry in a grassy field at Wat Bo in Siem Reap town. Traveling puppet shows depicting stories from the Ramayana are a traditional part of Khmer culture that is slowly dying out as TVs and VCDs become commonplace in the countryside. The puppets are works of art in themselves, delicately carved from cowhide, and often more than one meter square in size.. (Photo by Jerry Redfern/LightRocket via Getty Images)
