“Dad was the last person to hold Archie.”
Kym Marsh has opened up about her son Archie on the 10th anniversary of his death.
The Coronation Street star lost Archie at just 21-weeks-old, and often talks about him to her followers and fans.
She believes that Archie is with her everyday, and always wants to keep his memory alive.
That’s why, on February 10, the exact anniversary of her baby’s passing, she will be holding the inaugural Archie’s Footprint Ball.
On the night, the actress wants to celebrate Archie’s life, as well as raise awareness and funds for women who have experienced a loss like hers.
“We’re doing something very special by raising awareness and money in his memory and I feel very proud of us as a family,” she told OK! Magazine.
“I always say Archie gave me Polly and on that night she’ll be there celebrating his birthday. I have no doubt Archie would have looked exactly like Polly.”
She also shared a memory with the publication, saying: “When Archie died, he was allowed to stay in the ward with me overnight.
“The next morning my dad carried him down to the vehicle where the funeral directors were waiting and put him into his coffin, so dad was the last person to hold Archie,” she said.
The actress is supporting the worldwide charity Saying Goodbye on the night.
