This young girl made a 'wall of sorrow' to guilt-trip her dad into getting a cat

...and it actually worked.

A 13-year-old girl made a "wall of sorrow" in the middle of her family living room to try and convince her dad to get a cat.

The board included some top-notch collaging skills, with some notes like ‘Your (sic) letting them die in a tiny box doing nothing but crying’ and ‘But why??’' alongside some photos of sad-looking cats.

Danielle Grubsic, the girl's sister, posted photos of the "wall of sorrow" on Twitter, where they quickly went viral.

She explained that her little sister had wanted a cat for ages, before deciding to go to the extreme.

She told Metro:

"She’s wanted one ever since our other cat died of old age about two years ago."

And even though it took her an hour to make, it sounds like the collage was well worth the effort.

The final photo in the photo display showed her dad with the cat perched on his lap.

Danielle's initial tweet has gotten more than 50,000 retweets and 135,000 likes since it was first shared earlier this week.

Plenty of people commended her sister for her dedication and overall idea.

Meanwhile, others were able to relate to going to the extreme in an effort to get their own feline friend.
