Looking to downsize your family home? RTÉ are looking for participants for 'Goodbye House'

New year, new home?

If you’re looking to downsize this year, RTÉ’s series Goodbye House could be for you. The pilot for the family-centred programme was shot last year and ratings performed very well on RTÉ One.

With this success behind them, Stellify Media, the producers behind Goodbye House are looking for applicants for a full series of the hit show.

The programme is a heart-warming celebration of a family home and the people that lived in it. The premise centres on a parent who lives in a family home that their adult children have moved out of, and now it’s time to downsize.

Indeed there are a number of reasons beyond this that could lead people to consider downsizing. Perhaps your partner has passed away and the excess space is not needed or perhaps you’re looking for something that’s all on ground level. Whatever the reason, Stellify Media want to hear from you.

The concept of the show has a really unique twist too. It is the children or other family members that help find the perfect new home. Saying goodbye to the old house need not be upsetting either.

Indeed, it is about saying goodbye to the old and hello to the new.
