Meghan Markle broke a massive royal rule while on tour in Africa, and bravo

We say good on her.

So as we all know, being a member of the royal family comes with rules.

Sure, you get massive wealth and loads of opportunities, but you have to behave yourself too.

The life of a royal has some restrictions – but every so often these are broken.

In fact, the lovely Meghan Markle recently broke a major royal rule during her trip to Africa.

Meghan, along with her husband, Prince Harry, jetted off on a two week long official royal tour of Africa.

The Duchess of Sussex made one royal fan’s day by smiling for the camera on the final day of the tour to Africa.

But in doing so she broke one fairly big royal rule – no selfies.

Lastly she owned her crown with our Instagram filter we collaborated on with @will.hurt and @maxwellmutanda ?? she loved It!! When she looked away she realised it was the same headpiece I was holding! This is an experience I will never forget!!! And not only did The Duchess of Sussex get a selfie, she also had a floral crown filter applied to her face.

The founder of Own Ur Crown, a South Africa-based platform created by artist and entrepreneur Nikiwe Dlova, showed Meghan an Instagram filter during their brief meeting at a reception at the Johannesburg’s High Commission.

In a video, Meghan can be seen looking curiously at the phone, before realising the filter was putting a crown on her head.

Oh, the irony.
