A mum has argued that the best time to give your children their dinner is 3pm.

Wendy Wisner has said that mid-afternoon is the best time to give her kids their main meal of the day because it’s when they’re most hungry.

She explained on Scary Mommy that her children were always asking her for food around this time and that she didn’t want to give them too much because it would ruin their dinner later.

Then, Wendy said, one day she had an epiphany.

She wrote:

“One afternoon I had this lightbulb moment – What if I just start feeding them dinner at 3pm or 4pm when they’re clearly the hungriest?

“Feeding my kids an early AF dinner has been awesome, and I can’t believe it took me years to realise this.”

Maybe this is something we all need to be trying too?

Wendy thinks so anyway, and she doesn’t believe that there’s any correct time for anybody to eat their dinner.

She said:

“And for anyone who thinks I’m off my rocker, and that kids should really eat at a more normal, civilized time in line with when families are supposed to eat, I ask you this: Who cares what time it is?

“Do kids’ bodies actually give a shit about what an acceptable time to eat really is?”

Probably not, girl. Probably not.

So, what do you think? Would bringing dinner time forward save you a lot of hassle too?
