This new photo of Charlotte is GORGE (and it was taken by her mum)

Gillian Fitzpatrick

Our favourite cutie-pie royal (except for our own little princesses, of course) turns two tomorrow – and that calls for a brand-new, just-released snap.

Hurrah!

Yes, Kensington Palace earlier today tweeted a photograph of the toddler princess and we have to say it’s just gorgeous.

Better still the image was captured by her mother, Duchess Kate – a budding amateur photographer.

In it, Charlotte has a seriously cute navy floral clip in her bob-length hair. She can also be seen dressed in a timeless yellow cardigan complete with blue knitted sheep motifs. DailyMail.com reports that the item is from the High Street – John Lewis – though sadly (and predictably) it’s now completely sold out.

Kensington Palace later thanked everyone for their “lovely messages” adding that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge “hope that everyone enjoys this photograph as much as they do”.

Kate also took the official snap of Charlotte on her first birthday as well as the first images of Prince George and Charlotte together shortly after the little princess’s birth.

However, when George turned two in 2015 none other than Mario Testino took the images. He will celebrate his fourth birthday over the summer and starts ‘big school’ in September.

Happy birthday, Charlotte!
