There’s a new pop-up experience at Arnotts that the kids will LOVE

Shopping has never been so fun.

We may enjoy a good shopping trip (especially if it’s for ourselves – so rare) but unfortunately the same cannot be said for the kids.

Arnotts has always been one of our favourite places to shop because there’s so much to it that even the kids find ways to amuse themselves. That can be said even more now because Arnotts has teamed up with one of our favourite sports and science centres in the country – the one and only Explorium – and has set up a complimentary interactive science exhibit in their Arnotts Gallery Space on the Second Level. The exhibit is called ‘Just an Illusion?’ and will encourage customers to challenge their minds and feed their curiosity through an immersive illusionary experience like no other! You won’t believe your eyes.

There will be oodles of interactive experiences that both you and the kids will have so much fun with. Create your own human electric circuit, or make a water vortex with nothing but your hands. When you’re done with that, why not have a nice little lie down on a bed of nails? Or try diving into the world of Virtual Reality? Make sure to check out their illusion rooms because they are the BEST.

There will also be live science demonstrations exploring loads of different and interesting science topics. Those demonstrations will be held each weekend from July 13th, so keep an eye out for them if you want to catch one. Check out the website for more information on that.

This exhibit just opened in Arnotts and will be around for the next two months. For those of you who have been to Explorium’s permanent residence in Sandyford, you have some idea of the kind of fun and wonder that’s in store for you. For those of you who have yet to experience the science and sports centre, you’re in for a treat. It’s both educational and great craic. We’ve never seen our kids have so much fun learning about science as they do at Explorium.

So on your next shopping trip make sure to pop up to the Gallery on the second floor and immerse yourselves in the world of illusion. You’ll enjoy it as much as the kids will.

Plus there’s the bonus of being able to bribe them with a visit to the exhibit if they’re good for the shopping trip (we said we’d never resort to bribery but look at us now. Oh, what sweet, innocent fools we were).
